Took my sister and Dave to the Stockyards at Fort Worth. I was super excited when Matt, Ashly, and Layla decided to join us. Layla was really brave and rode Big Jake and enjoyed the cattle drive! She is growing up so fast!

My sister and brother in law visited us from Tennessee on their way to Galveston Texas, we all decided to do the JFK Tour. It was extremely surreal and humbling to stand on the X, stand behind the fence on the grassy knoll, and glaze out the window. I was surprised that Dealey Plaza has not changed except the trees have grown larger.

The lighting was so perfect we all took turns at the window.
There is a live webcam inside the cardboard box where Lee Harvey Oswald made two maybe three shots.
Across the street from Dealey Plaza is the Old Red Court House.

The overall area is much smaller that it looked on the movies and TV. I highly recommend if you are ever in the Dallas area, you should budget a couple hours and take the JFK Museum tour.

I really enjoy my last trip to Zanjero Park for Burrowing Owls in Phoenix last June. So when I had to go back to Phoenix this January I made sure to take some camera gear. I was hoping for Babies / Owlets this time, but no luck. One of the locals said the owlets come out in late July. This year’s offerings.
