My Gallery Debut

About Six months ago I was asked by my local gun store owner if I wanted to be the featured artist when he opened his new state of the art indoor shooting range.  Heck yeah I was all in!  Central Illinois Shooting Sports had their grand opening today.  You can follow them on Facebook.  If you do stop by be sure you tour the “Platinum Members Lounge” where my art is hung.  Make sure you tell Steve that I sent you!

I HATE getting in front of the camera, much more comfortable behind the lens than in autofocus cross hairs!  That does it, I need to go on a diet!

Update on my 2015 Wildlife Calendar project.  15 days down, and 30 days to go.  We have pledges of $948 on the way to $3,000.  One third of the time has elapsed, and the project has almost raised one third the funds needed.  It is going to be CLOSE, but you can help make the project a reality!  Pledge and share the project link!

Thank you all so much for the kind words and comments about my work.  It makes it all worth it!

More updates on the calendar soon, and I have booked my next adventure to go chase bugling Elk in the GSMNP.

Life is good, and I am blessed,

Kent

Granite and Tile backsplash

I finally broke down and got granite for our kitchen.  Did the tile backsplash my self.  Love the under-mount sink.  What do you think?  Will I get 75% of my investment back when I go to sell?

Landscape Project

Our house is now 9 years old.  I trimmed the shrubs back 2 falls ago and they never really recovered.  I wanted an updated: clean, modern and low maintenance.

PBKJ2164-FrameShop

I dug out snow globe arborvitaes, barberry, and spirea, and an over grown rose bush.  I kept the Japanese Maple and what I believe is a Sand Cherry.

Golden AZ Quarter

I have collected coins for as long as I can remember.  My dad got me started at a very early age.  I was shocked to receive a weird looking golden quarter this morning in my black Friday change.

The first thing that ran though my mind is WOW, I am rich.  This is a mint error of a state park quarter struck on a Sacagawea blank.  Worth at least hundred of thousands.  I quickly compared it’s size to another quarter and it was well inside normal specs.  Is this some sort of sign that I am truly suppose to move to Phoenix for my company?

A quick Google search on my phone from the parking lot still shaking a little.  The mint did produce some golden state quarters and worth about $5.00.  Excitement over 🙁

Guess it wasn’t a sign and that I have to go to work Monday morning.  It was fun for the 3 to 5 minutes it lasted.
