The story goes there was a kid in the barn with Yuck was born.  She cried, yuck… He is all cover pooh.  The name stuck.

The Masters 2014 Golf Trip Day1

We left Bloomington 5:30 AM and after a non eventful 12:45 hour drive we arrived in Augusta Ga.  We got up Sunday and headed out for breakfast.  Of course on a golf trip in the South, you have to have breakfast at a Waffle House!

We played Bartram Trail Golf Course.  Now I can say I have played golf in Augusta.

Only 3 of us made the trip, Greg, Brad and me.

61 degrees when we teed off and then dropped to 54 degrees and spit rain a few time. No denim at the course, and I didn’t bring dress pants.  I did have my rain pants, but too stupid to put them on.

Hope the rain holds off tomorrow, but better tomorrow that Tuesday when I go to the Masters.  I am going to try and post a few photos every night.

Ashly’s Baby Shower

Ashly’s sister Aron and her mom Kelly did an outstanding job hosting and putting the baby shower together.  It was a little weird being the only adult male in a room for of females.

It was REALLY cool they finally announced my granddaughter’s name!  Layla Lou Jarrett.

Light Painting with Fire

PBKJ9597-FrameShop

This past Saturday night, my local photography club We Click Photo Group met to play with fire.  This technique involves taking a steel whisk from the kitchen. Pack it full of steel wool. Hook a cable or dog lease onto the handle of the whisk. Light on fire, swing around. The faster you swing it the more sparks you get. Long shutter speed using a tripod. So you are painting with fire.

These photos were shot at ISO = 100, aperture = f 11, Shutter Speed 25 or 30 seconds.  A tripod was required on these long exposures.
