Week 23 of 52: Mother Robin guarding her 3 babies.  They were born yesterday 6/6/14 and they eyes aren’t open yet.

Week 22 of 52: Red-Winged Blackbird

PBKJ2174-FrameShop

Off the 15th tee at my local golf course, there is a Red-Winged Blackbird (RWB) nest. Every time a golfer goes to the tee, the male RWB buzzes your head.  He reminds me of my good friend Brad because he always screwed with him while other golfers hit.  I love and respect wildlife, but this guy is quickly becoming a nuisance!

I had been cruising along with my 52 week project, and then ran into a creative wall.  I’m even open to requests for next week’s photo.

Landscape Project

Our house is now 9 years old.  I trimmed the shrubs back 2 falls ago and they never really recovered.  I wanted an updated: clean, modern and low maintenance.

I dug out snow globe arborvitaes, barberry, and spirea, and an over grown rose bush.  I kept the Japanese Maple and what I believe is a Sand Cherry.

Mother’s Day Family Sessions

All Sharon wanted for Mother’s Day was new updated photos of both her kids families. Both of the kids spouses HATE getting their photos and it had been at least 3 years since they were in front of the camera.  Late Saturday evening with day light running out we were able to get them to cooperate.
