So all the migrating hummingbirds have passed through. I still have my local birds. I was getting the pool ready for me to be gone for a week, and the birds were very active. Enough that I had to stop and go inside and grab the 100-400 and shoot some hand held shots.
My business trip have a couple travel glitches so I edited photos at the airport and on the plane.
If you know me by now, you know I don’t like feeder shots. The alpha male is super hard to capture on a flower with his groget showing. Couple feeder shots.

Thank You Dear Kent for sharing these Amazing hummingbirds, so beautyfully pictured. I get happy by looking at them. Really a blessing. I am so happy You support them with Your garden. There are no hummingbirds in Sweden. Of course. So therefore I enjoy even more when You share “your hummingbirds” Thank You from Martin in Sweden!!!
Love the Hummer Pics! Never noticed just how LONG some of their Beaks? are. Love how you can stop the wings as well! Thanks Kent!
Thanks Larry the one is the tongue fully extended. Takes at least 1/4000 th to stop the wings but I try to shoot at 1/8000 when I have enough light.
